The National Child Passenger Safety Board was established to monitor and provide
program direction and technical as a means to maintain a credible, standardized child
passenger training and certification program. The purpose of the National Child Passenger
Safety Board is to manage the implementation of a standardized quality program
(the NHTSA Child Passenger Safety Training and SAFE KIDS Certification Programs)
that has been adopted across the country by organizations wishing to implement child
passenger safety training.
